We are a group of book lovers that meet once a month to discuss.....books. We like to read books from all genres, though usually fiction, we have thrown in a non-fiction a time or two. During the monthly meetups, we choose the next book. Actually, we tend to stay 2 months in advance so everyone has a chance to get the book from the library if they want. Every month we read the best book as chosen by our members. We then meet and discuss them. If the book we chose has been made in to a movie or a play, then we might schedule an additional meetup event.  If you are fond of reading and would enjoy discussing books like Three Cups of Tea, The Help, and The Art of Racing in the Rain, we would love to have you as a member of our group.

I recently recognized myself as a Community Story Gatherer. I'm looking for my community. I'm looking for people who: - Recognize themselves as storytellers or story gatherers. What you do for a living makes no difference to me. - Show up as learners and who enjoy learning as groups of learners. - Are neighbors. Sold my car last year so I'd like to meet in Central District and Capitol Hill area. Beyond that, what the purpose of this group is, and what we do, will be up to us as a group.
